Challen is a Licensed Acupuncturist  (L.Ac.) and herbalist certified by the State of California and a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (Dipl.O.M.) certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine(NCCAOM). 

In 2007, Challen received his Master of TCM from Five Branches University, where he was directly involved with hundreds of patient cases.

Prior to pursuing a career in medicine, he worked for 12 years in the electronics industry as an IC layout designer and manager, so he understands many of the crises related to life in Silicon Valley.

Having been called to change professions in order to serve the community, Challen chose to pursue Chinese medicine. Inspired by the work of remarkable Chinese medicine doctors, Challen realized how Oriental medicine is an effective, portable, tangible, and meaningful way to help people across the cultural and social spectrum.

Challen's focus is on musculoskeletal pain management.
