Chinese medicine offers a myriad of approaches to managing and addressing a disease condition and we
at Los Altos Acupuncture Center, while respecting the time-honored standards of Traditional Chinese Medicine, welcome the integrative
advantages offered by Western medicine.
Although many successful treatment protocols for given conditions are strongly supported
by hundreds if not thousands of years of Chinese empirical data, we as health care professionals are always interested in seeking
ways of optimizing application of the many modalities Chinese medicine has to offer.
Moreover, in our changing world, we accept
that new disorders and syndromes exist due to the unique combinations of environment and fast-paced society. We must constantly be
on the alert to utilize the adaptive and resourceful nature of Chinese medicine in conjunction with ongoing Western therapy elected
by many of our patients.
Through special patient programs, guest doctor workshops and ongoing clinical research, we consider common diseases with
modern significance such as diabetes, allergies, infertility, hypertension, cancer, repetitive stress injury, and poly-trauma suffered
by combat veterans as candidates for special research or outreach potential. We will list any patient opportunities on this page
in the future.
